Out of bed this morning at 7am. Woke up hungry, but still had to do cardio before breakfast. 40 minutes on the treadmill, on an incline. The treadmill is a nice switch at times. As far as training today, I may take the day off. I have an appointment for some deep tissue work later today which I am really looking forward to. I can't stress enough, how important it is to get routine muscle work done to keep the muscles pliable and to decrease the risk of injury....especially after 20+ years of doing this!!
7am: cardio 40minutes treamdmill on incline
meal 1: 2 cups of egg whites, 1/4 avocado, 3 packets of grits, coffee
meal 2: 10 oz of Eat to Grow tilapia (www.eattogrow.com, ETG) on foreman grille, 11/2 cups of rice, 1 teaspoon salso (mild)
meal 3: 10 oz of ETG chicken breast grilled, 1 cup rice, guys original bbq sauce (www.guysbbq.com)
meal 4: 10 oz of ETG ground turkey, 12 oz sweet potato (cut and cooked on foreman grille)
meal 5: 10 oz of salmon (yes, still eating it raw
), 1/2 cup white rice
meal 6: 12 oz of ETG filet mignon, veggies steamed
*** Eventhough I am taking the day off from training, I still take Muscletech's Hydroxycut Hardcore Pro Series throughout the day to keep my metabolism going! (www.muscletech.com).
*** I am very strict with my diet for my prep. Many bodybuilders have "cheat" days or meals, where they eat whatever they desire of want for that day or meal. I don't believe in that type of meal or day. I stay on a strict diet during my prep. Even in the off season, I consider sushi a cheat. I have never been a person that desires sweets or pizza...maybe an IN n Out burger here and there in the off season!!
