Jay's Stats

June 24, 2011 Friday

As I had anticipated, I took yesterday as an off day from training. Sometimes, you just need to listen to your body and take a break when needed. Today, I will be traveling to California to guest pose tomorrow at the West Coast Classic at El Monte High School in El Monte, CA. The California weather will be a nice break from this Vegas heat that has recently hit. I will be training shoulders/traps today. I feel more rested and ready to kill it again in the gym after yesterday's break. I am sure most of you saw my facebook post the other day, but GNC's online store now carries my signature SmartShake shakercup. I love the product. It has made my pre and post training so much simpler because I can carry 3 doses of powder or supplements. Check it out.... http://www.gnc.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId&kw=smartshake&origkw=smartshake&sr=1

Up at 8:30am, cardio before breakfast 30 minutes stairs (took a dose of hydroxycut hardcore pro series about 20 minutes before cardio)

pre workout: Muscletech's Neurocore *** if you havent tried it...it is a great new product!

post workout: Nitrotech Hardcore Pro series

meal 5: 10 oz of salmon sushi, 1 cup white rice

meal 6: 12 oz of ETG filet mignon, broccoli

****I am beginning to cut out the past out of my diet at this point and add more fish meals in as well.

Training:3 working sets, one warm up set

Shoulders:

side laterals

dumbbell shoulder presses

smith machine presses

front laterals

rear delt machine

traps:

barbell shrugs

dumbbell shrugs

*** A big part of my diet prep is going to get therapy/deep tissue work. This keeps my muscles more pliable and it really does assist me in getting better pumps in the gym. I also believe that it aids in less injuries in the gym.
